Sunday Is Fusing Fun Day! - Stringer Effects

Glass Cutting Experience Required, Fusing Experience Optional

Tuition includes all supplies and firings for one 8"x8" project and one 8"x10" project.

Learn two techniques using stringers and ribbons to create stunning designs that are reminiscent of textiles. Get ready to explore this exciting technique that has been used by artists world-wide to create detailed and dynamic works of glass art. On the first class day, you will explore options in color and select stringers to create the basis for your "woven" look. On the second day of class, you'll use your stringer sheets to create fabulous full-size projects. You will create one 8” x 10” bowl and one 8” x 8” bowl of the styles shown. If you like, you can search the internet and bring pictures to class for inspiration. You’re looking for color combos that appeal to you, such as purple mountains with a golden sunset or a marine photo with turquoise water, sandy beaches and green palm trees. In class, you can refer to them when you choose colors for your unique projects. It’s also a good idea to bring a picture of a serape that you like.

Please bring safety glasses if you have them, and always wear long pants and closed toe shoes. See you in class!

We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.

THE FINE PRINT - Terms apply to all classes at Harmony Stained Glass.
By registering for this class, you acknowledge that you have read and AGREE to these terms:
1. Your class will start on time. Please be on time and prepared. Please put your phone on silent so that it won’t disrupt the class.
2. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Seven days advance notice is required to cancel your participation in a class. With seven days notice, you will receive Harmony store credit for your tuition. With less than seven days’ notice, tuition is forfeit. No refunds or credits will be offered in the case of a no-show on the day of class.
3. Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space. A $100 cancellation processing fee will apply to any refund that is issued.
4. In the event of a class cancellation by Harmony, you will receive a full refund.  
5. Typically a class reminder is sent as a courtesy, but it is your responsibility to remember your class date and time and to arrive prepared.
6. Class participants must be at least 13 years of age unless specified otherwise in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian.
7. Participants give permission for Harmony Stained Glass to take and use photographs which may include their image or artwork.
8. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long cotton pants.
9.Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class.
10. If the class is "plus supplies", only supplies purchased at Harmony are permitted.
11.Class projects not picked up after three months will be considered abandoned and will not be retained.
