Glass Cutting Experience Required

Tuition (includes pole kit) plus cost of glass, grout and tools.

You’ll be impressed with yourself every time you look out to the yard and see your tall, beautiful Peace Pole. In this class, you’ll learn to make this three-dimensional mosaic art totem, utilizing the indirect mosaic method. This colorful work of art will look fabulous displayed in your yard or garden. We’ve developed a variety of appropriate patterns for this project. You pick the pattern and then choose your color scheme from our wide variety of art glass.  If you’ve never done indirect mosaics, this is your opportunity to learn. You’ll discover how to use mesh to create the mosaic artwork and then you’ll work at home putting the artwork together. In the second class, you will apply each mesh panel to the lightweight 4”x4”x48” post, using a special adhesive. As you can see from the photo, this is a good opportunity to raid your scrap bin to achieve the multi-colored effect. This class is fantastic for both beginners and advanced glass workers.

Bring to Class Week #1: 

Pre-Selected Pattern and Glass (opalescent glass only)

Plywood (or similar) work surface: 10” – 12” wide & 32” long

Glass Cutting and Mosaic Nipper Tools – If You Have Them

A small box to carry your parts home with you (we can supply one for $2)

Bring to Class Week #2: 

Your mosaic panels glued to the mesh substrate.

X-Acto knife

Supplies Provided in Pole Kit: Vinyl Post and Cap, Mesh, Glue, and Mounting Adhesive

Please wear long cotton pants and closed toe shoes, and bring safety glasses if you own them.

We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony when needed for your class. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.

THE FINE PRINT - Terms apply to all classes at Harmony Stained Glass.
By registering for this class, you acknowledge that you have read and AGREE to these terms:
1. Your class will start on time. Please be on time and prepared. Please put your phone on silent so that it won’t disrupt the class.
2. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Seven days advance notice is required to cancel your participation in a class. With seven days notice, you will receive Harmony store credit for your tuition. With less than seven days’ notice, tuition is forfeit. No refunds or credits will be offered in the case of a no-show on the day of class.
3. Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space. A $100 cancellation processing fee will apply to any refund that is issued.
4. In the event of a class cancellation by Harmony, you will receive a full refund.  
5. Typically a class reminder is sent as a courtesy, but it is your responsibility to remember your class date and time and to arrive prepared.
6. Class participants must be at least 13 years of age unless specified otherwise in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian.
7. Participants give permission for Harmony Stained Glass to take and use photographs which may include their image or artwork.
8. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long cotton pants.
9.Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class.
10. If the class is "plus supplies", only supplies purchased at Harmony are permitted.
11.Class projects not picked up after three months will be considered abandoned and will not be retained.
