Creating Light: Glass on Glass Mosaic

Glass Cutting Experience Required for Glass on Glass Mosaics

Tuition plus cost of supplies.

Join us for a fun and inspiring workshop where you'll create your own beautiful glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaic — a radiant art form that allows light to shine through your design! If you are new to mosaics you will have fun creating a sparkling artwork. If you've already explored the basics of mosaics, this is your opportunity to take your skills to the next level.

Discover what sets GOG mosaics apart from traditional methods as we dive into techniques, tips, and essential materials. During the workshop, we’ll answer key questions such as:

    • What adhesives work best for GOG mosaics, and why?
    • What is grout bleed, and how can I avoid it?
    • Which types of stained glass should I avoid, and why?

By the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with not only a stunning piece of art, but also the knowledge and confidence to continue exploring the luminous world of GOG mosaics on your own. This hands-on three-session workshop that provides the instruction you need to create GOG mosaics, with tips and techniques that Michele has learned along the way. No art or mosaic experience is required.

All students must bring a sturdy picture frame (no plastic or metal) with an 11" x 14" opening for your project (with or without glass). Please bring a design of your choice, or choose from Harmony's pattern library before the first day of class.

Remember - creating is even more fun when you bring a friend!

Please wear long cotton pants and closed toe shoes, and bring safety glasses if you own them.

We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony when needed for your class. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.

If you would like to register with a Gift Certificate or Harmony store credit please call us at 281-998-3381.
